MILLER COUNTY, Mo. — A major drug investigation turned up a large stash of meth and fentanyl, with neglected small children living in a drug house, authorities say. The Miller County Sheriff's Office and the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force concluded the several-month-long investigation, resulting in the arrest of four individuals in the Tuscumbia area.

A Miller County man is seriously injured in a rollover crash in Maries County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Charles Landreth, 59, of Brumley, was driving a pickup truck on Highway 42, about eight miles west of Vienna, Friday morning, when ran off the side of the road and overcorrected, causing the truck to overturn.

Five people face drug charges in the wake of a traffic stop in Miller County. According to court documents, police officers in Eldon received a call Wednesday about a vehicle traveling all over the roadway. Officers stopped the vehicle at 4th and Aurora Streets. A search of the vehicle turned up about two grams of suspected methamphetamine. Two men in the vehicle, Kyle Nelson, 35, of Tuscumbia, and Dustin Reed, 24, of St. Elizabeth, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

A four-year-old child is transported to Lake Regional Hospital after he’s struck by a SUV outside a Miller County apartment complex. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident happened shortly after noon on Monday when the SUV driver failed to keep a proper look out and struck the child while backing up. The accident happened in Kaiser in the 3200 block of Brookview Drive.
