Tuber Injured When Tube Strikes Dock In Jobson Hollow Cove
An outing on the water early Tuesday evening at Lake of the Ozarks comes to an end with serious injuries and a trip to the emergency room for a Kentucky man. The water patrol division of the highway patrol says it happened in Jobson Hollow Cove, in Miller County, when a pontoon boat was being operated too close to a dock before a tube being pulled by the boat hit the dock ejecting two people riding the tube.
Eldon Man Faces DWI Charges Following Incident On Monday Night
A 22-year-old from Eldon faces several pending charges after being arrested just after 8:00 Monday night by the highway patrol in Miller County. The highway patrol report indicates that Austin Randall is accused of DWI prior offender, leaving the scene of an accident, tampering with a motor vehicle, burglary, vehicle hijacking and other traffic-related offenses.

Couple faces drug charges after fugitive is found in Miller County
A couple face drug charges after a search warrant is served at the woman’s home in Miller County. Michael Benney, 55, of Russellville, is charged with second-degree drug trafficking, delivery of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Tiffany Stephens, 42, of Tuscumbia, faces the same charges, as well as hindering prosecution of a felony.

MACKS CREEK, Mo. — Several residents reported tree damage Friday morning after a severe thunderstorm rolled through Lake of the Ozarks. The National Weather Service in Springfield issued the warning for Camden, Miller, and Morgan counties until 1 a.m. June 14. The hazard included 60 mph wind gusts and penny-sized hail. Residents could expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

The lake area’s largest employer is turning to the public for comments on what are the greatest health needs and issues facing the lake area community. Two Injured In Thursday Morning Car Wreck
Two people are injured, one seriously, in a two-vehicle accident late Thursday morning on VFW Road just south of Eldon in Miller County. The highway patrol says the vehicle driven by 36-year-old Bradley Pruitt, of Eldon, crossed over the center striking the vehicle driven by 36-year-old Latishia Corwin, also from Eldon.

Reports of damage from severe storms that pushed through the lake area during the late night and early morning hours on Thursday and Friday were hit-and-miss. Most of that damage in Morgan County, according to Jason Foster from the emergency management office, was minor compared to what could’ve happened.

Brandon Collier seriously injured in Miller County accident
ELDON, MO, (June 13, 2024) - Brandon Collier was seriously injured on Tuesday in a two-vehicle accident near Eldon in Miller County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the crash occurred at about 11:30 p.m. on VFW Road when a Chevy Silverado driven by a 36-year-old man crossed the center line, colliding with a Jeep Liberty that Collier was a passenger in. Collier was taken to Lake Region Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

A Miller County man suffers serious injuries when the SUV he’s riding in is struck by an oncoming pickup truck. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Brandon Collier, 41, of Kaiser, was riding in the SUV Tuesday just before noon on VFW Road just south of Eldon. The patrol says an oncoming driver, Bradley Pruitt, 36, of Eldon, traveled into the oncoming lane and struck the SUV.
