A new Facebook page monitoring thousands of fracking-related accidents and cleanups happening nearly every day over the last nine years challenges the Ohio gas and oil industry’s claims that it’s environmentally-friendly. Following an extensive national search, Denison University welcomes John Haller as the new vice president for enrollment management, effective Sept. 3. Haller, who has more than 30 years of experience in higher education, joins Denison from the University of Miami (Florida), where he has served as vice president for enrollment management and new student strategies since 2014. COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — July 22nd each year is National Fragile X Awareness Day. Fragile X Syndrome can cause intellectual disability, behavioral and learning challenges. Emily Mack, former President of the board of the National Fragile X Foundation starting advocating for son Gavin who was diagnosed with Fragile X when he was a toddler after missing several milestones. Currently there is no cure which is why research and is so important. People with Fragile X can be helped through therapies, interventions and medications for behavioral symptoms. According to the National Fragile X Foundation, approximately 1 in 4,000 to 1 in 7,000 males have been diagnosed and approximately 1 in 6,000 to 1 in 11,000 females.
