Man who pushed woman out of moving car near Ballston sentenced
A Maryland man has been sentenced to 45 years behind bars after pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle near Ballston, causing severe injuries. Willie James Clements Jr., 61, was sentenced to 35 years for aggravated malicious wounding, as well as the maximum 10 years for hit-and-run, in Arlington County Circuit Court last week.

3rd Maryland man arrested in Columbia murder-for-hire plot: DOJ
Authorities arrested a third Maryland man in connection with a murder-for-hire plot, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for Maryland. Tyrik "Son-Son" Braxton, 28, joins previously convicted Daquante Thomas, 22, and Jourdain "JBlacc" Larose, 29, who were already sentenced in the plot. Braxton is sentenced to 25 years in federal prison in the death of Juan Ross on Oct. 23, 2020, the DOJ said.
