Police searching for armed and dangerous man after shelter-in-place order in Augusta
AUGUSTA (WGME) -- Police say they are searching for an armed and dangerous man who prompted a shelter-in-place order along Riverside Drive in Augusta on Friday night. Police say they are looking for 40-year-old Justin Larrabee. He is wanted for domestic violence assault, domestic violence criminal threatening, aggravated criminal mischief, obstructing the report of a crime, violation of conditions of release, and operating a motor vehicle while license is currently suspended.
Toddler Suffers Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound
On Tuesday, July 2, the Sanford Police Department received a call for the sound of a gunshot at 13 Shaw Rd. SPD officers and Sanford EMS responded and found a three-year-old boy with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his left hand. The child was accompanied by his father. The boy was transported to Maine Medical Center where he is being treated for his injury. The pistol was recovered inside the residence. SPD’s Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the incident. This case is still in the early stages of the investigation and the public is not at any risk.

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - Good morning everyone and happy Friday. We’re waking up to some fog in central portions of the county, with light showers working their way into the region as well. These showers are ahead of a cold front that is expected to pass through later today. This will spark off the additional threat for showers and possible thunderstorms late morning into the early afternoon hours. Once showers pass and taper off during the afternoon, skies are expected to clear out very briefly, with cloud cover and areas of fog returning to the forecast to start Saturday.
