State police investigating after three people found dead in Mechanic Falls
MECHANIC FALLS, Maine — Maine State Police are investigating after three people were found dead in Mechanic Falls Saturday afternoon. The Mechanic Falls Police Department requested assistance from Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit South after three people were found dead at a home on Highland Avenue around 4 p.m., according to a news release from Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.

ELLSWORTH, Maine (WABI) - A handful of cyclists from the Ellsworth area meet every month to take in the city on two wheels. “I used to ride my bike a lot in England, but England was very flat, and everywhere it’s kind of close together. The towns are not far apart. So, when I moved to Maine, it was quite a shock that there’s big distances between places and it’s very hilly and I wasn’t really enjoying biking. I felt like there was a lot of traffic and there weren’t other people riding bikes and I really thought ‘Oh, it would be nice to make Ellsworth more bike friendly,’” explained Ellsworth Bike Party Organizer, Alice Slater.
