BUENA VISTA — A South Jersey teenager died in a crash after he allegedly fled a traffic stop here, police say.

Thomas Burch, 19, of Millville drove away after an attempted stop by Franklin Township police on County Route 655. The incident occurred around 3:20 a.m. on July 15, according to New Jersey State Police.

One day later, a Burlington County man died in a single-vehicle crash in Moorestown.

The victim, identified only as a 57-year-old resident of Cinnaminson, veered off Tom Brown Road and hit a tree around 2:30 p.m., said Moorestown police.

The driver was flown to a hospital, where he died a short time later.

In the July 15 incident, police said, Burch's car veered to the right of the highway shortly after leaving the scene of the traffic stop. The vehicle struck a tree and overturned, causing Burch to be ejected.
