Algae bloom warnings in place in parts of Pineview Reservoir
OGDEN, Utah — Parts of the Pineview Reservoir are under algae bloom warnings, the Weber-Morgan Health Department announced Thursday. The warning applies to Pineview Reservoir’s Port Ramp Marina area and the southern end, near 5900 East, the health department said on social media. Park City School District Board balances athletics facility needs amid requests for better baseball and softball fields
The district is considering expanding athletic facilities but is still working to balance community and student needs. At the last board meeting in June, Board President Andrew Caplan and Board member Anne Peters expressed concerns about paying $7 million on baseball and softball fields as only around 120 students participate in the two sports. So, many parents and students went to the board meeting Tuesday to advocate for softball and baseball facilities.
