Milton police chief finalist named
MILTON — Brandon Sachse has been tentatively named Milton’s police chief, the city’s police commission announced Monday. City Clerk Jenny Salvo said in an email Monday that the commission voted Thursday, Sept. 7, to recommend that Sachse be offered the job. He was one of two finalists. Milton Fund hosts Candy Bar Bingo
MILTON - The Milton Fund is hosting its second annual Candy Bar Bingo fundraiser. Locals are encouraged to attend 715 Campus Street in Milton on Sept. 14 from 5–7. This is a family friendly event. Bingo cards are $1 each, and there will be 50/50 raffle, basket raffles and a chance to win a door prize. Food and drinks are also available for purchase. Since its founding, the Milton Community Fund has given back more than $250,000 to the community. Grants from money raised have strengthened the town’s historic and environmental preservation efforts, education, healthcare, youth, senior and veteran programs. Milton votes to lease out farmland to fund future park expansion
MILTON — The City of Milton voted Tuesday, to rent out 153.39 acres of land to farmers and put the money into the parks and recreation department to fund future expansions of Crossridge Park. In 2013, the Milton entered into a pre-annexation agreement with Pierce Farms, Inc. in Milton.
