Garrett Bladl finished ninth in the high jump at the WIAA Division 1 state track and field meet Saturday, June 26, at Memorial Stadium in La Crosse. Bladl leaped to a height of 6 feet, 0 inches. WIAA baseball: Red Hawks hold on against Kettle Moraine to earn regional title
The Milton baseball team earned its second straight regional championship with a 5-4 victory against Kettle Moraine in a WIAA Division 1 regional final Thursday, June 17, at Milton High School. The Red Hawks led 4-0 heading into the top of the fourth inning. Both teams scored one run in fourth to make it 5-1 Milton. Kettle Moraine plated a pair of runs in the fifth inning to cut the deficit to 5-3. The lead got cut to one at 5-4 in the seventh inning, but Milton was able to hang on. Evan Jackson picked up the win on the mound for the Red Hawks.
Four earn Academic All-Star honors
Four girls (in grades 10-12) from Milton High School earned Academic All-Star honors for the alternative spring season from the Golf Association of Wisconsin. Students are nominated by GCAW member coaches if they meet the following criteria: A cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25, participation in at least 75% of their team’s varsity matches.
