Milton man arrested after taking children from home: Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — A Milton man was arrested on Monday, July 8, after he took two children from a home before taking them into the woods, according to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.

An SRCSO arrest report said 28-year-old Darius Antwan Robinson was arrested and charged with two counts of kidnapping a child under 13 years old.

The arrest report said deputies were called to a home on Bruce Lane on July 7 for a report of a disturbance.

When deputies arrived, they found that Robinson had been in an argument with the woman who lived at the home, according to the SRCSO.

The woman walked to a different room in the house and, when she came back out, found that Robinson and the two children at the home were inside a car, according to the arrest report.

She allegedly tried to stop Robinson from leaving, but it did not work, and he left the home.

A relative of the woman saw Robinson and followed him to the area of Zero Lane, where they “saw the suspect run into the woods with the children,” according to the release.

Robinson was booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail around 1 a.m. Monday.
