Boyfriend threatens to kill girfriend, accusing her of infidelity

MILTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A boyfriend threatens to kill his girlfriend by holding a knife to her throat, accusing her of infidelity.

On June 26, 2024, at around 11 pm, Officer Odell and Lieutenant Odell were called to respond to 1543 Smith Street. Dispatch informed us that the caller requested both EMS and the police to come to the location but did not disclose the reason for needing the police.

Upon arrival, the officers encountered the caller, Bryan Glenn Hayes. Hayes seemed to be intoxicated, emitting the smell of alcohol, with slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. Hayes’ girlfriend reported that Hayes accused her of infidelity and threatened her with a knife, holding it close to her throat and expressing intentions to kill her.

Lieutenant Odell inquired if the victim felt her life was in danger, to which she responded affirmatively, expressing fear of being killed by Hayes. The victim then led Lieutenant Odell to their bedroom, retrieved the knife in question, and handed it over.

The knife was a red and silver pocket knife with two blades of an unknown brand or make.

Subsequently, this Officer arrested Hayes for Domestic assault and brandishing a deadly weapon and transported him to the Milton Police Department for further processing.
