Woman charged in reported stabbing Saturday in Charleston
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — UPDATED - 8:55 a.m., 7/22/24. A woman has been charged in a reported stabbing over the weekend in Charleston, court records said. Titshina Carter, 52, is charged with malicious wounding in an incident Saturday night in the 1500 block of Dorchester Road, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.
Three arrested on crack trafficking charges
Three men were arrested recently on charges related to the trafficking of crack cocaine, according to the Mingo County Sheriff's Department. According to a criminal complaint written by Deputy T.J. Ohio is getting another chunk of money from the Biden administration to clean up and plug abandoned oil and natural gas wells that plague the state's countryside. The Interior Department has awarded the state $57.25 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the federal law passed in 2021 that commits $1.2 trillion to fix roads and bridges, expand internet access, provide access to clean water, improve ports, invest in public transportation and other purposes. The law provides $16 billion to address what the Biden administration calls legacy pollution by reclaiming abandoned coal mines and plugging orphaned wells.
