    Kansas man killed after van strikes his motorcycle

    WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A 63-year-old Manhattan man was killed Sunday night in a crash in Cloud County. It happened on U.S. Highway 24, about 5 miles west of Miltonvale, just before 10 p.m.

    The Kansas Highway Patrol said a van was traveling westbound on U.S. 24 when it entered the eastbound lane for an unknown reason and struck a motorcycle. The motorcycle came to rest in the south ditch. The van entered the south ditch and struck a power pole.

    The motorcyclist was identified as James R. Dille. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the KHP. The driver of the van and two occupants weren’t injured.
