KU reveals headliner for 40th Annual Late Night in the Phog
LAWRENCE, Kan. (KCTV) - The University of Kansas has revealed its Grammy Award-winning headliner set to take the stage for the 40th Annual Late Night in the Phog. The University of Kansas Athletics Department announced on Thursday, July 18, that three-time Grammy Award winner Nelly is set to headline the 40th Annual Late Night in the Phog presented by Hy-Vee and Adidas. The rap superstar is set to take the stage in historic Allen Fieldhouse on Friday, Oct. 18.
The Junction City Rodeo is this weekend
The 30th annual Junction City Rodeo is this Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20, at the Geary County 4-H Fairgrounds Arena. The rodeo begins at 7:30 p.m. on both nights. The theme for Friday night is 'Tough Enough to Wear Pink' and Saturday night's theme is 'Red, White and Blue.'

The focal point of the success story is the creation of 4,679 affordable housing units funded by nearly $365 million since 2018. By these numbers, Minneapolis has significantly increased its output compared to previous years’ averages.

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - The Boys and Girls Club of Manhattan held a ribbon cutting today for its new Early Learning Center. The new center will serve kids from 6 weeks to 5 years old. This adds to the other 13 locations across Manhattan and Wamego, which serve elementary to 18-year-olds. There are 9 classrooms and the club is licensed for 156 kids who will participate in fun activities to prepare them for school. Club members said this facility is crucial to the region.

ARKANSAS CITY, Kansas — Super-fast fiber internet service will soon be available to hundreds of Arkansas City families and businesses, thanks to IdeaTek. The Buhler-based internet company will begin construction in August. By fall, IdeaTek will begin delivering unlimited and uncapped speeds of up to 2.5 gigabits per second to the city’s first few neighborhoods. IdeaTek's 100-percent fiber investment of nearly $6 million will connect over 6,100 homes and businesses to fiber.
