The World of Outlaws late models race at Wisconsin's Wilmot Raceway for the first time. Here's what to know.

The track that hosted the final Wisconsin race of the season for the World of Outlaws sprint cars earlier this month will host the Outlaws late models for the first time Monday.

The $10,000-to-win show is sandwiched by two premier events, the Prairie Dirt Classic on Friday and Saturday in Fairbury, Illinois, and the three-night USA Nationals beginning Thursday at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond.

    Here are the basics.

    Where is Wilmot Raceway?

The one-third-mile Wilmot Raceway is located on the grounds of the Kenosha County Fairgrounds, off County Highway W in Wilmot.

How much do World of Outlaws late model tickets cost at Wilmot?

The top five rows of the grandstand feature reserved seating with tickets priced at $40 plus fees in advance or $45 at the gate. The remaining seats are general admission and cost $35 in advance or $40 at the gate. Children aged 6-12 get in for $10. Pit passes are $45.

Tickets can be purchased through the World of Outlaws website.

What is the schedule for the Outlaws late models at Wilmot Raceway?

Grandstand gates open at 5 p.m. all days with hot lap and qualifying beginning at 6:30 and opening ceremonies at 7:30.

    The program includes IMCA modifieds.

Are Outlaws races broadcast on television or streaming?

DirtVision is the online home for the World of Outlaws sprint cars and late models. Prices are $39.99 for a month or $299.99 for the year.

Have the World of Outlaws late models raced in Wisconsin?

Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City got in two of the three nights of its Dairyland Showdown in May. Nick Hoffman won the feature on the preliminary night that wasn’t rained out, and Ryan Gustin captured the $25,000-to-win main event for his largest payday in the series.

In addition to that track and Cedar Lake, the Outlaws late models have competed in recent years at the Plymouth Dirt Track on the Kenosha County Fairgrounds, Beaver Dam Raceway, Shawano Speedway, Red Cedar Speedway in Menominee and Gondik Law Speedway in Superior.

Who are drivers to watch at Wilmot?

Entering the weekend, Illinois native and reigning series champion Bobby Pierce had won a series-high nine of 26 features, including the past four. Pierce has been on a mission since being penalized for a failed tire test in February. A suspension was overturned and his points penalty amended on appeal, but without having been docked those 144 points he’d be leading the standings rather than in third.

Nick Hoffman had the second-most feature victories, five, but is in a monthlong drought.

Brandon Sheppard , who won four championships from 2017-21, had just three victories but held a 52-point lead over Hoffman in the standings .

Only one series regular has won at the track: 2022 champion Dennis Erb Jr. with the Dirt Kings Late Model Tour in 2018 .
