    Milwaukee County under beach hazard through Thursday, with high waves and dangerous currents

    A beach hazard statement remains in effect through late Thursday for Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha counties.

    The National Weather Service reported life-threatening waves of 4 to 6 feet and dangerous currents.

    People are urged to stay out of the water and away from potentially dangerous places like piers and breakwalls.

    Strong structural and longshore currents are expected, and rip currents are possible.
