More perfect summer weather is headed our way Tuesday with highs around 70 and sunny skies. The pleasant weather will continue throughout the week.

Who are Democratic voters in Wisconsin?

It's yet another big week for politics in Wisconsin.

The DNC is in full swing . Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz will be in town Tuesday for a rally . And JD Vance is holding a press conference Wednesday in Kenosha .

In short, it's the perfect time for columnist Craig Gilbert to take a deeper look at who are Democratic voters in the Badger State and how those demographics have shifted over time .

Here's the tl;dr version: Women, secular voters, liberals, suburbanites and white college grads make up a larger share of Wisconsin's Democratic voters than they did before Donald Trump was elected in 2016. Men, rural voters, frequent churchgoers, people without a four-year college degree and conservatives make up a smaller share of the party.

Those findings come from years of extensive polling.

Lindsay Heights residents know its reputation. They're working to change it

After decades of neglect, activists and stewards in Milwaukee's Lindsay Heights neighborhood are working hard to improve the neighborhood's environment and reputation .

Lindsay Heights is a predominantly Black neighborhood between Amani on the west and Downtown Milwaukee on the east.

Residents told the Journal Sentinel one of the most persistent problems is illegal garbage dumping. Some of the waste has been there for so long residents joked it should be paying taxes.

The lack of real help residents receive from local government or other organizations feels symbolic of the problems dogging the neighborhood, residents said. But that won't ever be enough to stop them from caring about their community.
