2 Milwaukee restaurants make Yelp's Top 100 Pizza Spots in the Midwest

Wisconsin is making its mark in the pizza scene.

Two Milwaukee restaurants and five other Wisconsin restaurants made Yelp's Top 100 Pizza Spots in the Midwest for 2024 .

Santino's Little Italy , 352 E. Stewart St., was 11th, the highest-rated Wisconsin restaurant. San Giorgio Pizzeria Napoletana , 838 N. King Drive, was 86th.

Santino's Little Italy opened in early 2017. The menu includes appetizers like bruschetta, pizzas from a wood-burning oven, salads and pasta dishes.

There are about 20 pizzas and prices range from $17 to $23. Santino's Little Italy has 366 reviews on Yelp and has a rating of 4.7 stars out of 5.

San Giorgio Pizzeria Napoletana also opened in early 2017 serving Neapolitan-style pizzas. The dough is made in accordance with the strict standards of the authentic Vera Pizza Napolenta, according to the restaurant's website.

Along with pizzas, the menu includes soups, salads and appetizers.

Other Wisconsin spots that made the top 100 include:

• Salvatore's Tomato Pies in Madison, 44th
• Branch + Daughter, Quality Meats and Market in Windsor, 48th
• Novanta Pizzeria in Madison, 49th
• Wells Brothers Italian Restaurant in Racine, 65th
• Ang an Eddies in Fond du Lac, 95th

Yelp determined the list by identifying business in the pizza category with a "large concentration of reviews mentioning relevant keywords." It then ranked those spots using factors like total volume and ratings of reviews.

Yelp looked at spots in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
