Conservative talker Jay Weber will be back on air beginning Monday, sources said.

Weber was suspended two weeks ago after mocking Gus Walz , the 17-year-old son of Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz, for his emotional reaction to his father's speech at last month's Democratic National Convention.

Reached Thursday afternoon, Weber said he had no comment on his return.

Jeff Tyler, metro president at iHeartRadio for Madison and Milwaukee, has not responded to repeated calls and texts about the suspension. Hosts Benjamin Yount and Dave Michaels have filled in for Weber since Aug. 23.

It is not known if Weber's suspension was paid or unpaid.

WISN-AM (1130) was inundated with calls and emails after Weber criticized Gus Walz for his reaction to his father's speech at the Democratic National Convention. Walz — who has ADHD, an anxiety disorder and a non-verbal learning disorder — stood at the DNC during his father's acceptance speech and tearfully shouted: "I love you, dad! That's my dad!"

In response, Weber, who has a popular morning show, responded by posting on X, formerly Twitter: "Sorry, but this is embarrassing for both father and son. If the Walzs represent today's American man, this country is screwed: 'Meet my son, Gus. He's a blubbering bitch boy. His mother and I are very proud.'"

Weber has since taken down the post. He has also apologized twice, the first time saying he didn't realize "the kid was disabled" but then went on to call the Minnesota governor a "congenital liar who's destroyed Minn in a number of ways."

He then deleted that tweet and posted that he had initially written "without thinking or having the facts."

"I apologize to the Walz family and anyone who was offended. I feel horrible, I am so sorry," Weber posted.

The Milwaukee radio station last suspended one of its hosts in 2004 when it took conservative talker Mark Belling off the air for a week for using an ethnic slur for illegal Mexican immigrants.

WISN suspended Belling amid protests and the withdrawal of several advertisers.

It is not known if iHeartRadio lost any advertising revenue in response to Weber's tweets.
