MADISON – A Kenosha resident will tell the story of her pregnancy complications in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision overturning Roe v. Wade, Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign shared with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

"The overturning of Roe almost killed me. I had a blood clot in my uterus that caused my labor to have to be induced. Because of the overturn of Roe v. Wade, I wasn't able to get life-saving treatment sooner. I almost died, and that's because of the decision that Donald Trump made," Laurel Marcinkus says in the ad, which will air on streaming platforms including Hulu, Roku, YouTube, Paramount, Spotify and Pandora.

The ad then cuts to a clip of Trump saying, "I was able to get Roe v. Wade terminated, and I'm proud to have done it."

The former president has not endorsed a national abortion ban but has boasted about appointing the U.S. Supreme Court justices who made sweeping new abortion restrictions possible in many states. In Wisconsin, the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Care ruling effectively reactivated the state's 1849 abortion ban.

A Dane County judge in December declared that the state's ban does not apply to consensual procedures . The issue awaits a ruling from the state Supreme Court. Abortions were not available in Wisconsin for about 15 months before the judge's ruling.

"The doctors and nurses were afraid if they treated me in the incorrect way, that they would be prosecuted for that, and that's appalling," Marcinkus says in the ad.

More: Wisconsin mom decided ending pregnancy was safest, most humane option. Then she had to leave state.

Trump has said the Dobbs ruling put the question of abortion regulations in the control of state legislature and state courts, something he argues has public support.
