Quarterback Kirk Cousins left the Minnesota Vikings for the Atlanta Falcons.

Green Bay Packers signal-caller Jordan Love sprained his MCL in a season-opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Naturally, their replacements have not lost.

Sam Darnold has replaced Cousins as the starter in Minnesota and the Vikings are 3-0. Malik Willis has won both of his matchups while Love has been injured. That has to raise a few eyebrows of even the most optimistic NFC North followers.

As a result, Sunday's matchup between the divisional rivals at Lambeau Field has suddenly become a game to watch around the NFL, even if Love sits out his third straight game.

Jordan Love injury update

Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur says the team is doing all it can to get Love back “as soon as possible.”

“I’m sure he’ll be limited,” LaFleur said about Love in practice this week. “Then work it day-by-day.”

LaFleur said Love went through team reps at practice last week but was unsure of the plan this week.

“We’ll see,” he said. “I think anybody that saw what happened to him, that’s a legitimate injury. He’s working through it. He’s doing everything in his power to be out there. We want him out there.”

Love went through pregame drills and conditioning Sunday before officially being ruled inactive against the Tennessee Titans .

Sam Darnold injury update

Darnold suffered a bruised knee when he was hit low in the third quarter of the Vikings' 34-7 victory over the Houston Texans.

Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell said Darnold is expected to play Sunday .
