Jayden Reed might want to continue to keep his Friday nights free during the high school football season in the future.

Earlier in the day, the Green Bay Packers wide receiver made a callout on his social media looking for a high school football game to attend that night. He had a similar desire earlier this fall.

On Friday he was deciding between heading to Kimberly for a huge showdown between the Papermakers and rival Kaukauna in the Fox Valley Associati on or staying local and paying Bay Port a visit for the Pirates' monster matchup against West De Pere in the Fox River Classic Conference-North. First place was on the line in both leagues.

His post received nearly 300 replies. In the end, Reed's decision to stay in Green Bay for the West De Pere-Bay Port game proved to be the correct choice.

West De Pere's 45-43 win over Bay Port that ended on Brandon Schaefer's 49-yard field goal as time expired was a classic. Bay Port's 23-game conference winning streak was over with one incredible kick.

The field goal completed a spectacular comeback for West De Pere, which entered the fourth quarter down 35-21 and trailed again 43-42 after Bay Port retook the lead on a touchdown and two-point conversion with just 26 seconds left in the game.

West De Pere's victory kept the Phantoms perfect in the conference standings and in sole possession of first place with one week to play.

    Reed didn’t come alone.

He was joined by three of his fellow wide receivers: Christian Watson, Bo Melton and practice squad member Julian Hicks.

"Love to support and come out to high school games," Melton said in a video posted to the Packers' Twitter account Friday night.

Fans were not only treated to a fantastic high school football game — maybe the game of the year in Wisconsin — but they also had the opportunity to interact with members of the Packers in a fun environment.

And by the looks of it, the Packers players were having just as much fun as the students and fans in the stands.

At one point, Watson and Hicks got the crowd hyped by waving huge Bay Port flags. Melton was doing push-ups on a wooden board held up by Watson and students as everyone nearby counted. Picture Bucky Badger after a Wisconsin touchdown at Camp Randall Stadium. That was Melton.

The four Packers wide receivers also gave players high-fives on the field, threw the football around with kids on the sideline and signed autographs.

It was a night to remember in Green Bay.

Reed and the Packers will take the field for a Week 6 game against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at Lambeau Field.
