TNT signs Brewers broadcaster Brian Anderson to extension, and there's a new sport on his docket

Milwaukee Brewers television play-by-play man Brian Anderson , a fixture on national broadcasts across the sports landscape since he first joined Turner Sports in 2008, has re-upped with TNT Sports on a multiyear contract renewal.

The news won't shock Brewers fans who have been hearing Anderson call Brewers games since 2007. He's been juggling a slate of events for Turner sports over the years in addition to his Brewers duties.

He can be found on national NBA and MLB broadcasts, plus major golf events and the NCAA men's basketball tournament, a busy slate that has limited him to roughly 50 Brewers games in recent years.

Anderson just began announcing his ninth league championship series with coverage of the Cleveland Guardians-New York Yankees series in the American League.

The TNT Sports release indicated Anderson will be a member of the network's first-year coverage of the French Open in tennis beginning in 2025.

“TNT Sports is family to me. I’ve called games for TNT Sports since 2008, and I have no desire to work for anyone else," Anderson said in the release. "I’m thrilled to sign this extension and continue for many more years. The network’s desire to continue to grow the portfolio of championship sporting events perfectly aligns with my desire to call prominent games and matches over a wide variety of sports. I grew up playing every sport I cover and am grateful TNT Sports has given me the opportunity to live out my dream behind the microphone for such amazing events.”

Anderson has also been the play-by-play voice of the NBA2K video game since 2021.

Anderson, a Milwaukee-area resident, has repeatedly said a busy national schedule hasn't detracted from his desire to continue calling Brewers games.
