The Black Hawks surrendered a 20-7 lead in the fourth quarter to fall 21-20 to Cedarburg. Next: vs. Port Washington, Friday.

    3. Franklin (1-0)

Franklin shut out Catholic Memorial after halftime as part of a 20-0 swing to win 34-24. A Joseph Kallay touchdown pass with three minutes remaining gave the Sabers the lead before a 20-yard Rob Beglinger touchdown run put the game on ice with under two minutes left. Next: at Brookfield Central, Friday.

    4. Badger (1-0)

The Badgers held off Greendale, 27-17, in their opener Thursday night, led by two rushing touchdowns from Haidyn Stinnett and another score each from Ryan McCarthy and Logan Levitt. Next: at Slinger, Friday.

    5. Kettle Moraine (1-0)

The Lasers shut out Wauwatosa West 35-0, pulling away after taking a 14-0 lead into the half. Next: at Appleton East, Thursday.

    6. Muskego (1-0)

Muskego ran past Neenah, 31-21, on the strength of four rushing touchdowns split by Jackson Niemiec and Jack Labisch. Next: at Oak Creek, Friday.

An early lead over the reigning WIAA D1 runners-up from Franklin evaporated over the second half for Catholic Memorial in a 34-24 loss. Next: at Sun Prairie West, Friday.

    9. Port Washington (1-0)

The Pirates held on against Pewaukee at home in a 16-10 win. Next: at Grafton, Friday.

    10. Cedarburg (1-0)
