17-year Calgary Flames and Carolina Hurricanes veteran announces his retirement
Brett Sutter, who has played 17 seasons in the Calgary Flames and Carolina Hurricanes organizations, has announced his retirement. Sutter played 1,090 American Hockey League games and 60 NHL games over his 17-year career. He picked up 198 goals and 265 assists in the AHL, as well as two goals and eight assists in the NHL.

Cops seek Honda driver in possible road rage shooting near Food Lion in Creedmoor
CREEDMOOR, N.C. (WNCN) — On Monday afternoon, the Creedmoor Police Department responded to a shooting that occurred near Food Lion on Wilton Avenue. Police said shots were fired from one vehicle into another as the two proceeded east on Wilton. They said one passenger of the vehicle was struck by the shots and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The victim is in stable condition and no other injuries have been reported.
