MADISON — After Arrowhead High School had survived the first-ever quadruple overtime game in the history of the WIAA Boys State Basketball Tournament by beating No. 4 Neenah 99-95 in the semifinals, the magic seemingly ran out.

The top-seeded Warhawks (27-3) were rolled by Marquette 84-62 in the finals behind a 29-point output from Nolan Minessale.

The third-seeded Hilltoppers (26-4) splashed a Division 1 state championship record 12 3-pointers in the offensive onslaught. It was Marquette’s first state title since 1999, when it was still a member of WISAA.

    • In Division 2, No. 1 Wisconsin Lutheran finished 30-0 with an 83-62 win over Woodland West Conference rival No. 2 Pewaukee (25-4) in the championship. 2024 Mr. Basketball winner Kon Knuepple, who will play for Duke, had 11 points and 11 assists.

In Division 3, top-seeded St. Thomas More downed second-seeded Lakeside Lutheran (27-3), who had beat Beloit Turner in a regional championship, 65-54 to earn the Cavaliers (29-1) their first ever title. Sekou Konneh scored 20 points and added 14 rebounds.

In Division 4, fourth-seeded Kenosha St. Joseph Catholic (20-10) fell for the second-straight season in the state championship as second-seeded Mineral Point (28-2) won 65-64 off a putback from Drew Aschilam with just over a second left.

    In Division 5, top-seeded Columbus Catholic (29-2) beat third-seeded Abundant Life Christian (28-3) 81-75 after making a Division 5 record 14 treys.
