Gene Simmons is returning to Forest County again this summer, but it won't be for another concert.

The KISS bassist and co-lead singer will cut the ribbon to open the new Rock & Brews restaurant on July 2 at Potawatomi Casino Hotel Carter. The opening ceremony is invite only, with the restaurant opening to the public at 2 p.m.

The rock music-themed restaurant was founded by Simmons and fellow KISS bandmate Paul Stanley. This will be the chain's 25th location, which offers American classics with names like Rock'n Hot Wings, the Alice Cooper Poison Burger and the Demon Chicken Sandwich – a menu item created as an homage to Simmons' KISS persona, along with 24 beers on tap.

“The Potawatomi Tribe has been a proud part of bringing entertainment to the Milwaukee community for 32 years. Together, we look forward to continuing to be a part of this unique entertainment destination in Carter,“ Forest County Potawatomi County Chairman James A. Crawford said in a statement. “We look forward to building and growing our business and entertainment relationship with Paul and Gene.”

The restaurant is 3,000 square feet and will have seating for 128 patrons. Music videos will play on most of the venue's 15 TVs, the largest of which measures 24 feet by 6 feet, 9 inches.

While the restaurant has KISS ties, the decor includes other rock 'n' roll artists. Painted tables will feature AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, John Lennon, Guns n' Roses, Doobie Brothers and Joan Jett. A wall display pays homage to Wisconsin and some of its music legends, Les Paul, Steve Miller and Garbage.

Three highboy tables are shaped like guitar picks, and platinum vinyl records will be embedded in the floor.

A stage will offer live music on select Fridays and Saturdays.

The venue also being a casino, five poker gaming machines will be along the bar top, where customers can order cocktails and mocktails with names like Whiskey in the Jar and M, M, M, My Paloma.
