African Cultural Festival

Independence Day Weekend at Old World Wisconsin

Old World Wisconsin, the living-history museum operated by the Wisconsin Historical Society, marks Independence Day weekend with old-school doings including a picnic, old-time baseball, family activities and more from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 6-7. Bristol Renaissance Faire opens for the season

The Bristol Renaissance Faire, Wisconsin's theme-park nod to 16th-century England, opens for the season July 6. Food, entertainment, shopping and more are on the bill of fare. The Faire, at 2550 120th Ave., Kenosha, is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays (and Labor Day) through Sept. 2. Tickets are $40, $15 for kids ages 5-12 and free for children 4 and younger.
