    Get a clearer picture of finances before next steps for Milwaukee Public Schools | Letters

    A lot of people have been coming forward with a lot of different ideas about what to do about Milwaukee Public Schools.

    It's a little like a doctor prescribing medication without examining the patient. After all, at this point there's no clear picture ofwhat is wrong. Is money being misused? Wasted? Is it just bad bookkeeping by a terrible understaffed accounting department?

    Until we know what the problem is, it seems strange to be jumping in with solutions. Let's wait until the various audits are completed. Then we can be intelligent about what the next steps should be.
