Trump back at RNC as his family and JD Vance take center stage on night 3: Live updates

Donald Trump arrives for night three of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee , Wisconsin as Ohio senator JD Vance prepares to give his first major speech since joining the ticket.

Kai Trump — the former president’s eldest grandchild — and her father Donald Trump Jr will take the stage at the Fiserv Forum ahead of Vance this evening.

Wednesday’s evening programming has already included Peter Navarro — the former Trump adviser who was released from prison this morning — and Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

Trump was also at the venue on Tuesday to watch speeches by two of his old primary foes, Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis , both of whom found themselves endorsing him and “kissing the ring” after all, having bitterly denounced the former president and the craven conservatives who bow to him this spring.

Vivek Ramaswamy , Ted Cruz , Mike Johnson, and Kari Lake were also among yesterday’s speakers, many of whom struggled to stick to the party’s new “unity” message in the wake of the assassination attempt on Trump over the weekend, quickly reverting to divisive rhetoric and familiar attacks on the media.
