    U.S. Rep Brian Mast, R-FL , took the podium at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Wednesday to discuss his experiences as a veteran and his unwavering loyalty to former president Donald Trump.

    During his speech, Mast said the U.S. military deserves more than President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

    Mast has served as the U.S. representative for Florida's 21st congressional district since 2017. His district includes portions of the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast.

    The Republican National Convention is in Milwaukee through Thursday where former President Donald Trump on Thursday will formally accept the party’s nomination for the 2024 Election.

    • Who he is : U.S. Rep. Brian Mast, R-FL, is in his fourth term representing the 21st congressional district of Florida, according to his website. Prior to being elected to Congress, Mast served in the U.S. Army for more than 12 years, earning medals including the Bronze Star Medal and the Purple Heart Medal, among others.
    • What role he plays : Convention speaker
    • Key quote : "They would rather lose the war than use the wrong pronouns. Donald Trump knows that our military needs warriors and not woke weaklings lecturing our warriors," Mast said. "With your vote we will make America stronger than it has ever been."

    When and where is the Republican National Convention?

    The Republicans' convention will take place over four days, from July 15-18 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

    The Fiserv Forum , home of the Milwaukee Bucks , will be the main venue for the RNC.

    There also will be events at the nearby University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panther Arena and the Baird Center.
