    Teenager charged with stealing SUV belonging to Trump campaign

    A 17-year-old was arrested over the weekend for stealing a Chevrolet Tahoe that belonged to former President Donald Trump 's campaign advance team.

    The vehicle was stolen from the Pfister Hotel in Downtown Milwaukee , where Trump is staying for the Republican National Convention this week. The SUV was stolen around 4 a.m. on Saturday, according to a complaint filed in the Milwaukee County Criminal Court.

    The teenager is being charged with operating a motor vehicle without consent, a felony, criminal damage to property, and a misdemeanor.

    He is being accused of breaking into a valet lockbox at the hotel to obtain the keys before driving the car through a parking gate. A security guard tried to open the door of the vehicle, but it was locked as the teenager drove away.

    Police tracked the car via GPS to a suburban Walmart and arrested the 17-year-old in the store. At the time of the arrest, police found multiple other sets of keys to other cars on the teenager.

    As of Wednesday, he is being held on $2,000 bail at Milwaukee County Jail, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel .
