Damian Lillard getting traded to the Milwaukee Bucks was one of the biggest news headlines last season. Lillard moved on to the next chapter of his career, hoping to win an NBA title. However, Dame’s first season with the Bucks wasn’t a success.

Keeping that in mind, the 8x NBA All-Star is using the offseason to add a new depth to his game. One might say that Lillard is using an extremely unique method to train himself. The veteran guard was honing his boxing skills by the beach during his birthday celebrations.

NBA fans had hilarious reactions to Dame’s training regime

Being one of the top players in the NBA is not everyone’s cup of tea. It takes a lot of discipline and hard work to earn that spot in the biggest basketball league in the world. After an underwhelming first season with the Bucks, Dame’s boxing training routine drew some hilarious reactions from fans.

One fan shared a hysterical reaction behind Lillard’s new boxing training routine.

While another fan stated Doc Rivers’ is the reason behind Dame’s new approach.

A couple of fans left some comments on the 34-year-old’s ‘mission.’

Although the 7x All-NBA guard’s training method is unique, his critics will be silenced if he returns to form in the 2024-25 season. Lillard played 73 games last season, averaging 24.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game.

Lillard brought his A-game during the playoffs

The Bucks finished the previous season as the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 49-33 record. Sure, many expected the Bucks to claim the top spot in the conference, it was a respectable finish following the head coaching change in the middle of the season.

With a dynamic duo of Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo, many expected the Bucks to make a deep run in the playoffs. However, the dream was shattered due to injury troubles to the star duo. Giannis couldn’t gear up for even a single game in the first-round series against the Indiana Pacers. On the other hand, Lillard played some excellent basketball in four games of the series.

The Bucks PG averaged 31.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game on 42.0% shooting from the field. If not for injuries, the Bucks could have been closer to achieving their dream of winning the 2024 NBA title.
