Irish Fest is gearing up to open next month on Milwaukee's lakefront.
The festival, which concludes Aug. 18, features more than an hundred performances and dozens of food and drink options. Here's what you need to know before heading out to the grounds.
What are the dates for Irish Fest 2024?
Irish Fest runs from Aug. 15-18, 2024.
- Thursday : 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Friday : 4 p.m. to midnight
- Saturday : 12 p.m. to midnight
- Sunday : 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Where is the Irish Fest located?
Irish Fest is at Henry Maier Festival Park, 200 N. Harbor Drive in Milwaukee.
How much is a ticket into Irish Fest?
General admission to Irish Fest ranges from $23 to $27 per person. Active Military receive free admission to the festival, plus one guest.
On Aug. 15, if you donate school supplies at the gate, you'll receive free admission. Donations support Hope House of Milwaukee , a homeless shelter and community center.
College students with a valid student I.D. will also receive a $3 discount off of general admission tickets on Aug. 16 at any gate ticket window.

Can you bring drinks and food into Irish Fest? What is the bag policy?
You can not bring your own food and drinks into the festival grounds. More than 35 food vendors will be available at the festival.
All bags are subject to inspection prior to coming into the grounds. No backpacks at all or bags larger than 9x10x12 will be allowed in the grounds.
The following items are allowed into the grounds:
- Umbrellas
- Strollers
- Disposable cameras
- Small Cameras
- Small bag, cinch bag or purse
Where can I park at Irish Fest?
There are street parking and parking lots near the festival grounds. Irish Fest does not maintain any lots in the area. Irish Fest recommends you use the SpotHero Parking App to reserve a parking spot.
Are there any shuttles or buses that go to Irish Fest?
Yes, a few local bars and restaurants have shuttles to Irish Fest. The festival does not provide a list of participating shuttles so you'll have to inquire if your nearby bar is providing that service.
