Storms are firing up this afternoon, mainly northwest of Milwaukee. More storms will fire up this evening across the Milwaukee Metro area.

It won't rain all evening, but definitely have a place to take shelter if you're heading to the State Fair or anywhere outdoors.

Severe threats are low, but frequent lightning and downpours will be common with stronger cells. A stray shower may linger into early Friday morning. The weekend is looking sunny and warm. It's still going to be humid but not as bad as the last couple of days.
