Massive Cougar Spotted In SE Hillsboro On Ring Camera
As a kid, I spent my formative years in NW Montana, just off the Flathead Lake, helping my folks run a fishing resort on 250 acres of wild Montana forest. It might as well have been a nature preserve. We ran into many black bears. Moose, Elk, and deer too. Badgers all the time. Lynx and Bobcat. Worst of all Wolverines. Well, there was one animal I would say was the most terrifying: the majestic but extremely dangerous Mountain Lion, aka Cougar, Puma, Catamount, Panther.

This story first appeared in the Oct. 9, 2013, edition of WW. Forget the Arab Spring: For me, the true power of social media emerged on July 14, 2009, the day Dave Chappelle shut down Portland. When West Linn’s Round Table Pizza closed last year and the building’s owner offered the lease to Selina and Jeremy Klein, the couple did something they’d never done before.
