Ruth Vernielle McIntyre

September 23, 1942 – July 7, 2024 - Ruth Vernielle McIntyre died on July 7, 2024 of natural causes at 81 years old in Milwaukie, Ore. She was born on September 23, 1942 to Carl and Mary Kathryn Bodin in Beloit, Wisconsin.

Ruth attended Ganesha High School, Pomona, California, graduating in 1960. She met Larry McIntyre and was married on February 23, 1963 in Pomona before moving to West Linn, Ore. in 1975.

She worked as an Office Manager for both the Oregon City and West Linn’s Chamber of Commerce. She was also the President of The Recycling Professionals prior to her retirement in the mid-2000s.

Ruth was a member of Thompson Road Bible Fellowship and enjoyed Bible studies and day trips with church friends, reading and puzzles.

She loved her family with her whole heart. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Gary) Majors of Milwaukie, Oregon; son Jeffrey (Celeste) McIntyre of West Linn, Oregon; grandsons Cameron Majors, Collin Majors, Taylor Majors, Daniel Majors and granddaughter Kathryn McIntyre. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Larry McIntyre; son David McIntyre; and granddaughter Chelsea McIntyre.

A service will be held at 10am on August 3, 2024 at Thompson Road Bible Fellowship, 7606 SE Thompson Rd, Milwaukie, OR 97222.
