On February 7, 2024 Titusville City Council passed a resolution 5-0 that the city did not need to repay $270,000 balance of the December 2020 loan to the city by the sewer fund to cash flow the 2021 city budget. Mayor Frye commented that “the city could use the money for something else.” The city did not consider reducing the water and/or sewer fees in 2024 for that $270,000 that was collected in excess of what was necessary in 2020 when the city borrowed it.
