Mother, son involved in dollar store theft: PSP
Muncy, Pa. — Police say two people, who they believe are mother and son, stole items from a Dollar General store in Muncy. Trooper Gripp of PSP Montoursville says police were called shortly after 1 p.m. Aug. 24 to the store on Route 405 for a retail theft in progress. The suspects were described as possibly a mother and son. The pair took $69 of items, according to police. Police said the pair fled the scene before they arrived. Store staff gave police a description of their vehicle and license plate number. Police continue to investigate. Anyone with information may contact PSP Montoursville at 570-368-5700.

SUNBURY – The Daily Item reports a Northumberland woman has pleaded guilty to 63 counts of failure to make required deposit funds in Northumberland County Court. 65-year-old Doreen Hedricks was immediately sentenced to five years probation and must pay more than $48-thousand in restitution. Hedricks owned and operated Abrana Maries in Lewisburg and Taco Queen in Sunbury, which is now closed. Hedricks previously pleaded guilty in Union County earlier this month.
