Preseason football games set for Miners, Panthers
NEWTOWN – The Mingo Central High School football team will certainly get a tough test right out of the gate in the upcoming 2024 season. The Miners are scheduled to open up the preseason on Friday, Aug. 16 at home as Mingo Central is slated to host Kentucky state powerhouse Johnson Central at Mingo's Buck Harless Stadium in a 7 p.m. start.
