Collision on Water Well and Hedville Roads — one hospitalized
A two-vehicle collision on the western side of Saline County yesterday resulted in one person being transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. At approximately 2:03 p.m. on July 1, the Saline County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a collision near the intersection of Water Well and Hedville Roads, according to Saline County Undersheriff Brent Melander.

Wichita man sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison for 2021 stabbing
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A 29-year-old Wichita man has been sentenced to 19 years in prison for stabbing a woman in a downtown Wichita alley nearly three years ago. Elam stabbed a then-22-year-old woman during the early morning hours of November 22, 2021. Officers said the woman was walking to her vehicle when Elam approached and stabbed her before running down an alley. The woman suffered a non-life-threatening stab wound to her stomach.
