Cousins is set to be a free agent when the new league year begins on March 13.

The 35-year-old has been recovering from an Achilles tear he suffered in Week 8 versus the Green Bay Packers.

On Monday, Cousins shared an update on his rehab process.

He posted two clips on social media of him dropping back and throwing passes on a tennis court.

"Almost 4 months in now…encouraged by the progress! Grateful tor all the help around us," Cousins wrote in the caption on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Cousins appears to be taking major steps toward a full recovery with his movements of his injured leg.

The videos of the 12-year NFL veteran comes as teams will be eyeing to sign him.

In the eight games before the injury, Cousins posted 2,331 passing yards, 18 touchdowns and five interceptions.

It's possible that he won't return with the Vikings.

The legal tampering period opens in two weeks.

And teams will have the ability to negotiate with Cousins this week with the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis starting on Monday.

Minnesota has reportedly been open to negotiating a contract with Cousins.

The signal-caller has been with the Vikings since 2018 and has made the Pro Bowl three times with the squad.

Cousins signed a three-year, $84 million deal with Minnesota in 2018, and then two more extensions which totalled $101 million fully guaranteed for the next three seasons.
