    2024-04-18

District 281 teachers Kevin Berdine, Kristen Moon and Pat Kelly will participate in side-by-side rehearsals and performances alongside Minnesota Orchestra musicians. Under the direction of new music director Thomas Søndergård, the performance of Holst’s “Jupiter” from The Planets will take place 7 p.m. Saturday, April 27, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at Orchestra Hall, 1111 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis. The Saturday concert is open to the public, and ticket prices start at $10.

The mission behind the project is to celebrate music educators across the state and the important work they do.

Berdine teaches orchestra at Sandburg Middle School and Armstrong High School. Moon teaches orchestra at the School of Engineering and Arts, Noble and Lakeview Elementary. Kelly teaches orchestra at FAIR-Crystal.
