Breck girls and boys lacrosse stayed busy last week with several games, including a win for the girls against Visitation on April 17 at home.

    Girls

Breck girls lacrosse opened last week with an action-packed 11-8 win over Visitation. Lyla Nguyen led Breck with four goals, while Stella Birdsong scored a hat trick. Witt Mehbod added two goals, while Sophie Welsh and Taylor Hall scored one goal each.

Breck then took to the road to face Lakeville North in an 18-3 loss. Welsh, Mehbod, and Abbey Perry scored the Mustangs’ three goals.

Breck girls lacrosse will play two games the following week, hosting Gentry Academy and Delano/Rockford on April 22 (after this edition went to press) and Saturday, April 27, respectively.

    Boys

The Breck boys faced some tough games last week, starting with a narrow 7-6 loss to Kennedy/Burnsville on April 15. The game, played at Breck, was Kennedy/Burnsville’s first game of the season.

The Mustangs then lost 7-2 to rivals Blake at home on April 18, before taking on Duluth Marshall in an 8-7 loss at home on April 20 to conclude a busy week of lacrosse.

Breck will play two games the following week, traveling to Providence Academy on Tuesday, April 23, before hosting Lakeville South on Friday, April 26.
