The Highway 60 Windom project is the subject of an upcoming public event hosted by the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The event scheduled for 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, at the Windom Community Center, 1750 Cottonwood Lake Dr., in Windom is an “open-house style meeting” with no formal presentation, according to MnDOT.

Members of the public can learn about the construction plans for 2025, proposed restriping of four to three lanes and more. After the event, the Windom City Council will hold a public hearing on the project.

In 2025, MnDOT will replace the signals and make Americans with Disabilities upgrades at the Highway 60 intersections with Sixth Street and 10th Street in Windom.

MnDOT is also proposing to restripe the road in a three-lane configuration, which would include one through lane in each direction and a center left turn lane.
