How to watch Simone Biles in the 2024 US Olympic Gymnastics Team Trials

Though the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics is less than one month away, not all of the teams heading to the City of Light have been set yet.

This weekend, the 2024 US Olympic Team Trials for gymnastics are taking place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN. 16 women and 20 men will compete in all of the Olympic gymnastic apparatuses (four for women and six for men) to secure one of five spots on the squads that’ll be on their way to Paris in just a few weeks.

Nine-time US Champion and seven-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles will be in attendance and competing, but it’s more of a formality than anything else; Biles’ spot on the team is basically a lock.

In addition, three of Biles’ teammates from the 2020 Olympics, Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, and Sunisa Lee, are participating in the trials this weekend. Lee was also 2020’s individual all-around gold medalist, while Carey took home the floor exercise gold.

The trials began yesterday and will continue to air all weekend, with the women’s trials a primetime highlight on NBC. Peacock is the streaming home of the Olympics and will carry all of the trials as well.

If you have traditional cable, you can watch the next three days of the 2024 US Olympic Gymnastics Team Trials on NBC.

The NBC broadcast will likely follow certain athletes around the trials, so if you want to watch a specific apparatus from beginning to end, you’ll be able to watch every individual event live on Peacock . The main/NBC broadcast will also be streaming on Peacock.

2024 US Olympic Gymnastics Team Trials schedule of events: When does Simone Biles compete?

Both the men’s and women’s teams compete over two days. Yesterday, the men’s team completed their first round of trials.

Biles will likely begin her first rotation (on uneven bars) around 7:45 p.m. and then she’ll make her way through the rest of the events — balance beam, floor, vault.

During Sunday’s trials, she’ll get started on vault around 8:20 p.m. and go through the rotation to end of her floor exercise.
