Where your favorite Twin Cities food trucks will be the week of July 1
By Dustin Nelson,
17 days agoThe 4th of July is here, so there are excuses to eat off the grill every day or to hit up a food truck (And food trucks are everywhere this week.)
I ate at several food trucks this week, but the highlight was finally making it to Northern Fires for some pizza. I was overdue to give it a try. The Kingfield — tomato sauce, red onions, mozzarella, house-made sausage, a pepperoni from Lowry Hill Provisions — is a classic combination done well.
The pizzas draw you to the window, but a side of its Strawberry Creme Brûlée is worth the extra $5. I don't know if creme brûlée is the proper title for the dessert since it doesn't have a caramelized crust (and I didn't really taste the mint), but the macerated strawberries and vanilla bean custard are a pretty good dessert on the go.
Ok. Here's where you can find food trucks around the Twin Cities and beyond this week.
