Man dies at the scene of north Minneapolis shooting

Minneapolis police are investigating after a shooting in north Minneapolis left one man dead Friday night.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 3500 block of Penn Avenue North just before 11 p.m.

At the scene, officers found a man in his 50s with life-threatening gunshot wounds sitting in a vehicle. Officers provided aid until EMS and fire crews could arrive, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s identity has not yet been released.

MPD says it is currently investigating the shooting, and no arrests had been made as of Saturday morning.
