Simone Biles continued to dominate at the U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Trials in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Before stunning with crowd with her vault routine, which earned a 15.975 -- the highest score of the night, Biles struggled on the beam.

The seven-time Olympic medalist is typically rock solid on the beam, however, she nearly fell off in the beginning of her routine with a big wobble. Biles also hopped following her full-twisting double back dismount.

Biles knew it wasn't her best and dropped a one-word expletive on national TV as she left the mat. She scored a 13.650, over a full point lower than what she earned at nationals.

Biles finished in fifth place at beam. "She was very, very pissed," her coach Laurent Landi said, per USA Today .

"I'm so upset about beam," Biles told NBC afterward. "I'm really disappointed in myself because that's not how I train. And so going forward, I'm going to try to compete how I train on that event. Because I know I'm good at it. I know I can do better. So that's what I'm going to work on."

However, her vault, floor routine, and performance on the uneven bars kept the nine-time national champion far ahead of her fellow competitors. With an overall 58.900 score, she has a 2.5 lead over second place.

Biles will have another shot to perfect her beam routine on the final night of the U.S. Gymnastic Trials on Sunday, after which the final roster for the 2024 Paris Olympics will be announced.
